The Return of the Vampire

(1943)Directed by Lew Landers69 minHorror
“The Vampire's Prey... a Beautiful Girl! Compelled to follow his commands! The blood of her fiancé on his hands! How can she escape the vampire?”

A vampire put down in England in 1918 should have stayed buried, yet German bombs in the Second World War crack the ground open and Armand Tesla (Bela Lugosi) walks out again. Lew Landers follows him as he takes the name of a scientist escaped from a concentration camp and pulls his old wolfman servant back under his control. Lady Jane Ainsley (Frieda Inescort) believed her trouble was finished, and the film is about how long a grudge can outlast a war.
