The Ritual

“You must have faith.”

Father Joseph Steiger (Dan Stevens) has lost his hold on his faith, and he wants a reason to keep wearing the collar. Instead he is assigned to help Father Theophilus Riesinger (Al Pacino), a priest shadowed by his own past, with the exorcism of Emma Schmidt (Abigail Cowen). David Midell builds the film on a true story, set in a conflict between doubt and belief that neither priest can hand off to the other.
