The River Murders

“You can't escape the past!”

Homicide detective Jack Verdon (Ray Liotta) needs to stay on the job, because the women turning up dead are all his former girlfriends. Agent Vuckovitch (Christian Slater) takes over the case and suspects Jack himself, and Captain Langley (Ving Rhames) suspends him. Rich Cowan puts Jack outside the law with a badge he can't use, trying to save his future by digging through his own past.
