The Road

“In a moment, the world changed forever.”

The Father (Viggo Mortensen) has one job left, which is keeping his young son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) alive as they push a shopping cart south through a burned America. John Hillcoat shows a country where ash blows on the wind, the cold cracks stones, and the snow falls gray. The two have only each other, and a hope that the warmer south holds some reason to have kept walking.
