The Road Dance

A terrible tragedy befalls Kirsty MacLeod (Hermione Corfield), and the village will not speak of it, in the Outer Hebrides just before the First World War. Richie Adams films the Isle of Lewis, where the film was shot, as a place of shoreline and hard weather, and Kirsty's mother Mairi (Morven Christie) and her sister Annie (Ali Fumiko Whitney) live close by. The war is coming to the island, and Kirsty has a life, a family and a good name to lose.
