The Rocking Horse Winner

“Exciting As Your Wildest Dreams!”

Paul Grahame (John Howard Davies) climbs onto his rocking horse and rides until a name comes to him, the name of a horse that will win. His mother, Hester (Valerie Hobson), keeps spending money the household doesn't have, and the debts keep growing. Anthony Pelissier lets the boy rock harder as the money piles up, the wooden horse creaking and the nursery floor shaking under him.
