The Royal Hotel

“A fun adventure is all they wanted.”

Hanna (Julia Garner) and Liv (Jessica Henwick) run out of money while backpacking, so they take a job pouring drinks at the Royal Hotel, a pub in a tiny outback town of mostly men. Kitty Green sets them behind the bar with Billy (Hugo Weaving) and a roomful of regulars whose jokes start to land closer than they should. Hanna wants to leave and Liv wants to stay, and the friendship starts to give under the strain.
