The Royal Tenenbaums

“Family isn't a word... it's a sentence.”

Three children of the Tenenbaum house were called geniuses, and twenty years of betrayal, failure and disaster have wiped out nearly every trace of it. Most of the blame lands on their father, Royal (Gene Hackman), who left Etheline (Anjelica Huston) and is now turning up again, one recent winter. Wes Anderson gathers the grown children, Chas (Ben Stiller), Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Richie (Luke Wilson), back under a single roof, and Royal stands in the doorway.
