The Ruins

“Terror has evolved.”

Jeff (Jonathan Tucker) and Amy (Jena Malone) are two Americans on a sunny holiday in Mexico, killing time by the pool with Eric and Stacy and wanting a day trip. When a fellow tourist, Mathias (Joe Anderson), offers to take them to an archaeological dig deep in the jungle, they say yes. Carter Smith's debut sets four ordinary vacationers against a Mayan ruin that wants them there, and what they learn is how little their comforts protect them.
