The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea

Anne Osborne (Sarah Miles) is a widow in the English town of Dartmouth, and she wants someone to love again. She finds him in Jim Cameron (Kris Kristofferson), an American sailor, while her young son Jonathan (Jonathan Kahn) is pulled into a clique run by a bullying leader. Lewis John Carlino adapted Yukio Mishima's novel, and the film shows how a boy can read a stranger's place in his mother's life as a betrayal that someone has to answer for.
