The Salamander

“SAVAGE—LAZY—SEDUCTIVE—FRAGILE—SMART—FASCINATING—ALIVE”

A young woman is accused of trying to kill her uncle, and nobody can say for sure what happened. Pierre (Jean-Luc Bideau), a journalist, and Paul (Jacques Denis), a writer, decide to turn her case into a screenplay and go to meet Rosemonde (Bulle Ogier). Alain Tanner follows the three of them as the facts of the story give way to how people actually live, work and avoid being pinned down.
