“Bad men will bleed.”

Jon Jensen (Mads Mikkelsen) is a settler in 1870s America, a quiet man who has built a life for his family and wants nothing from anyone. Kristian Levring follows him after he kills the man who murdered them, an act that brings down the fury of Henry Delarue (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a notorious gang leader. The townspeople turn on Jon, and he now stands alone against Delarue's men, with no one left to bargain for him.
