The Seagull

“Based On The Play By Anton Chekhov”

At a lakeside estate outside New York, the stage actress Irina Arkadina (Annette Bening) arrives with her lover, the writer Boris Trigorin (Corey Stoll), and the household bends around them. Michael Mayer lets Irina, Boris and the young Nina Zarechnaya (Saoirse Ronan) circle one another through a single summer in a love triangle. Irina holds on to her fame and her man, and every room she walks into has to answer to both.
