The Searchers
“He had to find her... he had to find her...”
Ethan Edwards (John Wayne), a Confederate veteran, rides out after Comanche raiders take his young niece Debbie (Natalie Wood), and he does not plan to come back without her. Beside him goes Martin Pawley (Jeffrey Hunter), the adopted nephew Ethan has never fully accepted. John Ford puts the two men on a trail that runs for years, and the closer they get to Debbie, the less sure Martin is about what Ethan means to do when he finds her.
