The Secret Agent

“Brazil 1977, a time of great mischief.”

A man arrives in Recife in 1977, during Carnival, going by the name Marcelo (Wagner Moura) and carrying a past he won't discuss. He is a technology expert in his early forties, and he has come hoping to reunite with his son, but the city is not the refuge he expected. Kleber Mendonça Filho keeps his attention on Marcelo's connection to the boy, the one thing he is still moving toward.
