The Secret Life of Bees

“Bring Your Girlfriends, Sisters, Mothers and Daughters.”

Lily Owens (Dakota Fanning) is fourteen in South Carolina in 1964, and she still can't stop thinking about her dead mother. She runs from her father with Rosaleen (Jennifer Hudson), the woman who raised her and her only friend, and they head for a town tied to her mother's past. Gina Prince-Bythewood sends them toward a house they have no right to count on, with nowhere else to go and Lily's whole past on the line.
