The Secrets We Keep

“A quiet neighborhood. A deadly past.”

Maja (Noomi Rapace) is raising a young son in a quiet American suburb after the war, and the neighbors see only a wife and mother. Then she spots a man she is certain did terrible things to her during the war, and Yuval Adler follows what she does with that certainty. Her husband Thomas (Joel Kinnaman) has to live beside it, and the film stays on the gap between what she knows and what she can prove.
