The Selfish Giant

Two boys are thrown out of school and start hauling scrap metal for a dealer named Kitten (Sean Gilder), and it's never clear why the work feels so much heavier than the pay. Arbor (Conner Chapman) is loud and restless, while his friend Swifty (Shaun Thomas) is slow to speak and gentle with horses. Clio Barnard sets their friendship in Northern England and lets each night's haul push them toward a line they can't see.
