The Seven-Ups

“Mess with the Seven-Ups, and they WILL mess you worse.”

Someone is kidnapping New York mobsters and collecting ransom, and the trail runs through a partner's death. Buddy (Roy Scheider) leads the Seven-Ups, a plainclothes squad that works dirty to put people away for seven years or more, and he wants to know who killed one of his own. Philip D'Antoni, who produced The French Connection, keeps the squad in its grimy city, Scheider and Tony Lo Bianco (Vito Lucia) never far from the street.
