Pithivier (Jean Lefebvre) is a soldier in the French army's Seventh Company, a man who gets through each day by never quite understanding what he has been ordered to do. Robert Lamoureux sends him back out with Sergent-chef Chaudard (Pierre Mondy) and Tassin (Henri Guybet) in this sequel to Now Where Did the 7th Company Get to? The facts leave no room for a picture, so I'll close on the man: Pithivier, cheerful and baffled, still in step with the rest of them.
