The Shaggy D.A.

“The Only Candidate with a Law Degree and a Pedigree!”

In 1976, Wilby Daniels (Dean Jones) is a successful lawyer running for District Attorney, and his campaign is going well. Then he starts turning into an English sheepdog at the worst moments, with the local dog catcher already on his trail. Robert Stevenson sends him chasing the cause while he hides the change, and the film treats keeping up appearances as a job a person can lose by being found out.
