Wilby Daniels (Tommy Kirk) is a teenager who gets turned into a shaggy Old English Sheepdog by an enchanted ring of the Borgias, and he changes back again at the worst possible moments. Charles Barton keeps the trouble close to home, with Wilby's father Wilson (Fred MacMurray) already wary of dogs. The spell can only be broken by an act of bravery, and a big, wet-nosed sheepdog sits in the family house, waiting for it.
