The Shakiest Gun in the West

(1968)Directed by Alan Rafkin101 minComedy, Family, Western
“He's so bad he was scalped by a cigar store Indian!!”

In 1870, Jesse Haywood (Don Knotts) leaves dental school in Philadelphia for the frontier, a nervous young man with a new diploma and a tooth-pulling kit. Along the way he meets Penelope "Bad Penny" Cushing (Barbara Rhoades), a woman offered a pardon if she can track down a ring of gun smugglers, and she talks him into a sham marriage as her cover. Alan Rafkin lets the two share a wagon and a story, though only one of them knows it's a lie.
