The Shallows

“What was once in the deep is now in the shallows.”

On a secluded beach, Nancy Adams (Blake Lively), a medical student, paddles out alone to surf. The water turns out to be the feeding ground of a great white shark, and she ends up stranded 200 yards from shore, close enough to see the sand. Surviving will take all her ingenuity and nerve. Jaume Collet-Serra shoots the bright, open water so it never feels safe to look at.
