The Shape of Water

“A fairy tale for troubled times.”

In Baltimore in 1962, Elisa Esposito (Sally Hawkins) cleans floors at a high-security government laboratory, and she cannot speak. When a captured amphibious creature is wheeled into the building, she begins visiting him, and Guillermo del Toro lets the two of them meet in quiet, one small gesture at a time. Colonel Richard Strickland (Michael Shannon) wants the creature dead, and Elisa has very little time to get him out.
