The Sheik
“A photoplay of tempestuous love between a madcap English beauty and a bronzed Arab chief!”
Sheik Ahmed Ben Hassan (Rudolph Valentino) rides into the desert with Lady Diana Mayo (Agnes Ayres) taken from her party, and carries her off to his tent-palace. Diana is a British socialite who does what she likes, and she turns from his advances and asks to be let go. George Melford made a silent picture in 1921, and he tells all of it through faces, glances and the long stretches of sand.
