The Sheltering Sky

“A woman's dangerous and erotic journey...”

Port (John Malkovich) and Kit (Debra Winger) land in postwar North Africa and head inland with their friend Tunner (Campbell Scott), hoping the journey will bring their marriage back to life. Bernardo Bertolucci follows them from town to town as the heat thins out their plans and the desert sets the pace. Kit goes on believing the distance from home will mend what is wrong between her and Port.
