The Shrouds

“How dark are you willing to go?”

Karsh Relikh (Vincent Cassel) is a prominent businessman who has not recovered from his wife's death, and he builds a technology that lets the living watch their dead inside their shrouds. One night several graves, his wife's among them, are desecrated, and he sets out to find who did it. David Cronenberg lingers on Karsh at the cemetery screens, where the buried lie wrapped and visible, and Diane Kruger's face is nowhere in the frame.
