The Sidehackers

“HARD RIDERS! Mounted on Burning Steel! ... with only their leathers between THEM and HELL!”

In 1969 Southern California, sidehack racing is a dirt-track sport where each motorcycle carries a passenger who leans out over the sidecar platform to keep it planted through the turns. Vince Rommel (Ross Hagen) races with his crew, and the film gives its running time to the engines, the dust and the hard riders around him. Gus Trikonis builds the story on Vince and Rita (Diane McBain), whose engagement comes to define everything that follows.
