The Siege of Firebase Gloria

“Against all odds they went to hell and back.”

It is the start of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, and a Marine patrol stops at Firebase Gloria to rest. Then the firebase is attacked, and Cpl. Joseph DiNardo (Wings Hauser) and the others stay on to help defend it, with Sgt. Maj. Bill Hafner (R. Lee Ermey) narrating. Brian Trenchard-Smith films it in the Philippines, and the film settles on DiNardo and his patrol, still holding their positions and still waiting on the next attack.
