The Silence

Khorshid (Tahmineh Normatova) is a blind boy in Tajikistan who works as an instrument tuner to help keep his family in their house. Any sound pulls him off his path, so he is often late for work, and his mother (Goibibi Ziadolahyeva) is behind on the rent. Mohsen Makhmalbaf follows a child who hears every melody as a world of its own, and the job he needs hangs on whether he can walk past one.
