The Silence

In a German summer, 13-year-old Sinikka does not come home, and her bicycle turns up at the very spot where a girl was killed 23 years earlier. The old case reopens for the people who worked it, among them Peer Sommer (Ulrich Thomsen) and Krischan Mittich (Burghart Klaußner). Baran bo Odar sets the two cases side by side and watches what the men who share that past have never been able to say to each other.
