The Silence

“They're listening.”

Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka) is a deaf teenager who has already learned to live without sound, which puts her a step ahead when creatures that hunt by noise overrun the world. She leaves the city with her parents, Hugh (Stanley Tucci) and Kelly (Miranda Otto), looking for refuge in the countryside. Director John R. Leonetti keeps the family moving through quiet, tense stretches, and they soon meet a cult that has its own interest in Ally.
