The Sin of Harold Diddlebock

(1947)Directed by Preston Sturges92 minComedy
“Yes Sir! Wednesday was WILD! Wednesday was RUGGED!”

Twenty-three years after he scored the winning touchdown for his college team, Harold Diddlebock (Harold Lloyd) is still a mild book-keeper at an advertising firm, and the boss lets him go with a tiny pension. Preston Sturges sends him to a bar, where Jake the Bartender (Edgar Kennedy) pours a man who never touches the stuff one drink, then another. The next thing Harold knows it is Wednesday, and he is standing in a strange place holding the pension money.
