The Singing Nun

(1966)Directed by Henry Koster97 minMusic, Comedy, Drama, Family
“GOT A HEART? Here's the picture for it!”

Father Clementi (Ricardo Montalban) hears Sister Ann (Debbie Reynolds) sing, then carries her off to a talent contest. Her light, cheerful songs turn into a record deal, and soon she is a name beyond the convent walls, all the way to The Ed Sullivan Show. Henry Koster, in his final film, follows a Belgian nun who came to the order to help troubled souls like young Dominic, and who is not ready for the attention.
