The Sinister Monk

(1965)Directed by Harald Reinl87 minCrime, Thriller, Mystery

A hooded killer is whipping his victims to death, and Inspector Bratt (Harald Leipnitz) has to find him before the next murder. Harald Reinl adapts Edgar Wallace's 1927 play The Terror, one of the many German thrillers drawn from Wallace's work. Gwendolin (Karin Dor) is pulled into the investigation alongside Bratt, and a wary closeness grows between the two as the suspects around them multiply.
