The Sisters Brothers

(2018)Directed by Jacques Audiard121 min · RWestern, Drama, Comedy
“Make a killing. Make a living.”

Eli Sisters (John C. Reilly) is a hired killer in Oregon in 1851, a heavy, tired man who would rather be doing another job. His younger brother Charlie (Joaquin Phoenix) drinks, loves the killing, and rides beside him anyway. Jacques Audiard sends the two after Hermann Kermit Warm (Riz Ahmed), a chemist with a profitable secret, and the long ride to California tests how much the brothers owe each other.
