The Skeleton Key

“Fearing is believing.”

Caroline Ellis (Kate Hudson) is a hospice nurse who wants a job where she can sit with the dying and be of real use. She takes a live-in post at a plantation home in Terrebonne Parish, caring for Ben Devereaux (John Hurt) while his wife Violet (Gena Rowlands) watches her every move. Iain Softley keeps the camera inside the house, in the dim rooms of Caroline's new job, where the dread builds slowly.
