“DANGER STALKS THE SILENT STREETS IN...THE SLEEPING CITY”

Fred Rowan (Richard Conte) is a New York detective with army medic training, and he gets sent into Bellevue Hospital posing as an intern. A young doctor has been shot in the head on a break, and the police have found no clue and no motive. George Sherman filmed in the actual hospital, so Rowan spends his days among interns short on sleep, time and money, and he has to keep his own story straight.
