The Slipper and the Rose

“You'll forget every other love story you ever saw . . . or sang to.”

In the Kingdom of Euphrania, the court wants Prince Edward (Richard Chamberlain) married off, and he wants to marry for love. At a ball he meets Cinderella (Gemma Craven), and when she hurries out and leaves a slipper behind, he sets out to find her. Bryan Forbes stages the story as a full British musical, with songs and a spell-casting Fairy Godmother (Annette Crosbie).
