The Sonata

“Play at your own risk.”

A sonata left behind by a composer who died under strange circumstances is covered in symbols no one can read. His daughter Rose Fisher (Freya Tingley), a gifted violinist who barely knew him, inherits his mansion and sits down with the score, hearing things in its notes that she can't explain. Andrew Desmond builds the house around her as a closed, cold place, and the film is about what a person will keep playing for even when the music is warning her.
