The Son's Room

In Ancona, the psychoanalyst Giovanni (Nanni Moretti) spends his days listening to patients like Oscar (Silvio Orlando) and his evenings with his wife Paola (Laura Morante) and their teenage children, Irene and Andrea. Nanni Moretti directs and stars, and the family's routine is ordinary and close. When their son dies in a scuba diving accident, Giovanni is left to hear other people's pain while the one in his own house goes unspoken.
