The Sorcerer's Apprentice

“It's the coolest job ever.”

Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage), a sorcerer in present-day Manhattan, is fighting his old enemy Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina) and needs help he does not have. He picks Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a physics student who seems ordinary, and starts teaching him magic whether Dave likes it or not. Jon Turteltaub's film treats magic as a trade passed from one stubborn person to another.
