The Soul

Liang Wen-Chao (Chang Chen), a prosecutor sidelined by illness, asks to lead the case when the founder of a corporation developing a futuristic cancer treatment is found brutally murdered. His wife A-Bao (Ning Chang), a newly pregnant detective, works the investigation beside him. Cheng Wei-hao builds the inquiry from procedural detail, and a company that sells survival gives the film its question: what a person is once the body is no longer the whole of them.
