The Spider Woman

(1943)Directed by Roy William Neill63 minMystery, Crime, Thriller
“Grim mystery to hold you breathless!”

London has a run of deaths that look like suicides, each victim found in his pajamas, and no one can say what drove them to it. Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) takes the case, sure that the person behind them is as cunning as Moriarty and as venomous as a spider. Roy William Neill sends Holmes and Dr. Watson (Nigel Bruce) after her, and Holmes keeps working when every lead looks like it was laid out for him.
