The Spy Gone North
“In the lasting days of the Cold War.”
In 1993, a South Korean intelligence agent named Park Seok-yeong (Hwang Jung-min) is sent to Beijing, where he takes the code name Black Venus and works his way toward a group of North Korean officials. Yoon Jong-bin follows the assignment, loosely drawn from a true story, as Park gets closer to Ri Myeong-woon (Lee Sung-min) and the nuclear program behind him. Both Koreas hold the same suspicion, and each side's trust in its own people is thin.
