The Square

Christian (Claes Bang) is the chief curator of a prestigious Stockholm museum, a well-dressed man whose standing is starting to slip at work and at home. He is preparing an exhibit called The Square, a marked-off patch of ground meant to remind visitors of their duty to one another. Ruben Östlund puts Christian between Anne (Elisabeth Moss) and the performer Oleg (Terry Notary), who is cast as an ape, and the ground inside the square stays bare.
