The Squeaker
Inspektor Bill Elford (Heinz Drache) of Scotland Yard wants to find whoever is killing people with snake venom, and he has almost nothing to work from but the bodies. Alfred Vohrer adapts Edgar Wallace's 1927 novel, and Elford follows the dead back to a circle of suspects, among them Beryl Stedman (Barbara Rütting) and Frank Sutton (Günter Pfitzmann). Under the procedure sits a plain, nagging fear that anyone in the room could be the killer.
