The Stalking Moon

“He comes with the stalking moon. Silently. Relentlessly. And when he comes there is no place to hide.”

An unseen tracker is following the army scout Sam Varner (Gregory Peck) as he leads a group of Apaches toward a reservation in Arizona. It starts when he finds Sarah Carver (Eva Marie Saint), a white woman held by the tribe for ten years, and her half-Apache son. Robert Mulligan sends them toward Sam's home in New Mexico with Salvaje, the man who took her, close behind, and every mile puts the boy and his mother closer to him.
