“He fought for justice... and battled for love!”

U.S. Marshal John Travers (John Wayne) wants the man known only as the Shadow, who has terrorized the territory and left a sheriff dead. Travers picks up where that sheriff stopped, with Yak (Yakima Canutt) riding beside him. Robert N. Bradbury keeps the 1934 Western moving at a gallop, and Travers rides on knowing the lawman before him did not live to finish the job.
